A Beautiful Blogger!
4August 9, 2012 by Xenogirl
Dear readers… I have been recently missing in action because I spent the majority of this week in my kayak! My parents, my husband, and I paddled 35 miles on the Wisconsin River, from Spring Green to Boscobel, Wisconsin. In case you missed it, my last such river adventure was detailed in the post Cabernet on a Kayak. Check it out… the story even includes a nude beach and a game of river chicken with two very naked men. This is indeed good reading my friends! In case that post does not thoroughly pique your interest, I will be back writing as soon as I have removed all traces of Wisconsin River grime from my body and fully recovered from the glory and abuses of mother nature. So stay tuned! I will promptly return my pen to paper… ummm, I mean… fingers to keyboard… for your reading pleasure.
In the meantime, I am happy to report that the recently “Freshly Pressed” blogger at the Lantern Post has awarded me and my ramblings the “Beautiful Blogger Award.” Much to my confusion and disappointment, this award has NOTHING to do with my near-supermodel physical beauty. Alas, my hopes of receiving a sparkly tiara, a satiny sash, and an outrageous bouquet of roses were quickly dashed upon further investigation. Instead, the “Beautiful Blogger” and the similar “Inspiring Blogger” award (which I recently received from the author at Introspections During Quiet Time, thank you very much) are pass along awards designed to recognize other writers and increase readership. Despite not being an official award, it is still an honor and boost to my insatiable ego to receive a second award. Thus I shall insist that this award is another sign that my blogging awesomeness is catching on and that Xenogirl shall soon burst forth in viral pandemonium upon the ever-capricious interwebs. Or… probably not.
Being a bit of a rebel and a bit lazy, I confess that I am again not fully participating in the award (blush). A properly beautiful blogger would follow the rules, which consist of sharing random facts about yourself and then nominating other bloggers. Hence, I am not such a beautiful blogger. Despite my willful disobedience, I do want to truly thank Daniela over at the Lantern Post for reading and nominating me. So please take some time to enjoy her blog. Yeah… I’m talking to you… go read! It is good food for the brain.

Thank you my dear for such lovely mention of the Lantern Post … the most outrageous bouquet of roses was of course included with the award! You are awesome!
Daniela
Thank you again Daniela! I look forward to following your blog. Thank you for the inspiration and encouragement!
I’m nominating you for the ‘One lovely blog award’, apologies if that seems like too much work :) You deserve it though.
Thank you! It is such an honor that you would pick my blog. I will post about this and your blog later in the week!
